The cornerstone of the Air Duct Cleaning
Company is built around
experience and reliability. When one of our
crews arrive at your
office building, or that of one of your
clients, to refurbish the HVAC system,
you are
also receiving the combined 70 years
experience
of the owner and key technical personnel.
The average tenure of
our commercial crew foreman is nine years,
the field supervisor
15 years. Most companies have not
even been around that long.

Some of the things you might wonder or want
to ask...
"Have you
done this sort of thing before?"
This is a
question you may feel uncomfortable asking,
but it is a question that needs to be asked
and answered before hiring a contractor.
This is particularly true when it comes to
hiring an Indoor Air Quality Specialist. IAQ
is a relatively "young" field with
constantly-evolving standards and protocol.
It is also a rapidly expanding industry with
a great number of firms new to the business,
so it is in one's best interest to check on
the experience and know-how of a potential
IAQ specialist.
When you
call on someone to look into an IAQ concern
you have, you want to be assured that the
people you ultimately hire know what they
are doing. Will the firm you hire handle the
situation in a professional manner? How will
you know whether they are really addressing
the situation properly? Do they have the
tools and associated experience to actually
figure it out? In short, "Have they done
this sort of thing before?" While that
may seem obvious, how do you do this? How
do you go about determining whether they
have the experience or not?
The first
thing is to ensure the firm has a valid
State Contractor’s License (C20 or C61/C64)
with evidence of required Workers
Compensation and Liability insurance. Then,
are they in good standing with NADCA
(National Air Duct Cleaners Association)? Do
they follow the minimum standards set by
NADCA in its cleaning procedures? What
experience do they have? What
projects of comparable size to yours have
they done in the past? Find out by asking
for reference lists with lots of
references and be sure to call the
references.
While
investigating sources of IAQ problems and
fully cleaning an HVAC system is a new
discipline, it is not a "maverick"
industry where anything goes. Certain
procedures must be followed or the product
of improved indoor air quality will not be
achieved and, in some cases, could even be
worsened. The ability to get a product comes
largely from experience, whether you are
looking at cleaning the HVAC systems serving
a multi-story office building or locating
the source of an odor in a small apartment.
The
Machado Environmental Corporation brings
together decades of experience of its
technical and sales staff in the IAQ
Investigations Division as well as the two
areas of Air Duct Cleaning Company —
Commercial HVAC cleaning and Residential
HVAC cleaning. There is little that we have
not encountered in the field and we are
constantly on the cutting edge as the
industry develops and grows.
Keep
experience in mind the next time you need
investigation into the air quality in your
home or business, or need the HVAC system
refurbished. Call Air Duct Cleaning Company.
